Nestled between the Lipton’s Seat at Dambatenne Estate and Pilklinton Point of Poonagala Estate, a beautiful tranquil valley of Koslanda is an intermediate zone of wet and dry land of Uva Province. Between the heights of Bandarawela and the low country of Wellawaya and Hambantota, British found that Koslanda at 700 meters elevation has a climate that is never too hot and never too cold, but just right for perfect living.

Located in the Eastern Hills of Sri Lanka just five hours from the capital Colombo, Koslanda is situated in the perfect position to explore the hill country and the southeast of Sri Lanka.

Cascading Dilayuma Falls

It is one of the most beautiful valleys in Sri Lanka, being the home for the breathtaking waterfall of Diyaluma at 210 metres being the third highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. This valley with a population just over 8,000 is the hamlet of Koslanda, where the time has stopped. The survival of the Colonial era architecture is still visible. The hospital and aged old bus stops stand as witness.

Bordering the Uda Walawe natural reserve, Koslanda, with a height of 2350 feet above sea level, is a small township, with Poonagala Mountains on to its East.

In British times, tea and rubber estates came up in the Koslanda region, along with good roads, a fine district hospital and other government facilities. Today Koslanda enjoys the same amenities in old fashion way including its mild climate and beautiful environment.

Beragala is a small town close to Haputale on busy Badulla A4 Highway. The area is very famous for the natural beauty and landslides. Apart from a sheer plunge for almost 4 to 5 kms., Beragal is a Colonial attraction for fertile tea estates.

Boralanda, a rural town in Badulla District close to Welimada, is farming Valley. It provides one third of the best quality Lankan potatoes. Through Boralanda is the easiest access path to the Horton Plains National Park as it is fallen through beautiful location- Ohiya
