What you will do

🕔 5:00 AM – Departure from Anuradhapura

Begin your journey with a comfortable, air-conditioned transfer from your hotel in Anuradhapura to Wilpattu National Park, approximately a 1-hour drive.

🕕 6:00 AM – Enter Wilpattu National Park

Embark on your safari in a customized 4WD jeep, accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide.
Wilpattu, Sri Lanka's largest and oldest national park, is renowned for its "Willus"—natural lakes that dot the landscape, creating a unique ecosystem.
Keep an eye out for the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, sloth bears, elephants, spotted deer, wild boars, crocodiles, and a myriad of bird species.

🕘 9:00 AM – Refreshment Break

Pause at a scenic spot within the park to enjoy light refreshments, including local snacks and beverages.

🕙 10:00 AM – Continue Safari Exploration

Resume your game drive, exploring deeper into the park's diverse habitats, from dense forests to open grasslands.
Your guide will share insights into the behaviors and habitats of the wildlife encountered.

🕛 12:30 PM – Exit the Park and Return to Anuradhapura

Conclude your safari and begin the return journey to Anuradhapura.

🕐 1:30 PM – Arrival in Anuradhapura

Arrive back at your hotel, reflecting on a morning filled with remarkable wildlife encounters and natural beauty.

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
